1. Stock Market: What is Share Market?

"Share" means a part or a portion and "Market" is a place where you can buy and sell. In other words we can say that "Share Market" is a place where we can buy and sell a share of a listed company.

2. Primary types of Share Market In India

• NSE ( National Stock Exchange)  is located in Mumbai which is Financial capital of India and it was founded in 1992. It is the leading stock exchange in India.

• BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange)  is located at Dalal street, Mumbai and it was founded on 9th July 1875. It is world's 10th largest stock exchange and Asia's first stock exchange.

3.  How companies get listed in share market?

To get listed in  share market, companies do written agreement with stock market. Companies have to submit all the necessary documents to the SEBI (Securities And Exchange Board Of India) and then SEBI checks and verify the documents, if all the documents are correct then company gets listed in share market.
